Anyone over the age of 10 can participate. Archery has one of the best safety records of any sport around. Our staff will ensure the activity is conducted safely, with no danger to participants or spectators.
Our sessions are designed to introduce people to the sport of archery. Learning to shoot is quick, easy, and usually becomes intuitive and improved as you go.
We are not readily contactable via phone. Our preferred contact method is through our website contact form or email info@mobilearchery.com.au
You bet we will. We primarily operate from our pre-approved locations in the north of Melbourne but we can take bookings for all around the Melbourne Metropolitan area. We also have coaches in the Geelong and Mornington Peninsula areas.
An additional travel fee may apply if travelling beyond 30km from the CBD. Feel free to contact us to discuss your location.
For Combat Archery any open area will do, sports fields such as footy ovals are suitable, but an enclosed space such as tennis courts are best. Large indoor spaces are great as well.
For outdoor group target sessions the area must be private owned and access controlled such as a paddock, hockey, tennis or basketball court or even a school sports field. It needs to be a good size so to ensure a safe zone for bystanders. Public parks will need to be approved by local councils.
Indoor sessions can be conducted in any hall or indoor sports area. We use safe rubber tipped arrows for indoor sessions so there is no risk of injury or facility damage.
We are currently working with facilities around Melbourne to establish pre-approved sites. Our first pre-approved site is at Yarra Bowmen, in Bulleen.
We can also conduct the activity in large indoor spaces such as basketball courts, assembly halls, or conference halls.
We advise comfortable sporting attire, suitable for running around and moving freely. Players are asked to remove any loose items of jewellery that may cause damage or injury.
We can continue outdoors in light rain. In heavy weather we are happy to refund, reschedule, or relocate to an indoor venue.
If the weather forecast looks unsafe, we will attempt to contact you a few days prior to your session.
For group target sessions and combat archery we can run group from 5 up to 20 people shooting at a time, but with equipment rotations we can accommodate up to 40. Feel free to contact us about special arrangements for larger groups.
